About Creighton Tubb, MD
Creighton C. Tubb, M.D. is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with fellowship training in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery and maintains a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Tubb earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and Adult Reconstructive / Joint Replacement fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining New Braunfels Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine in 2017, Dr. Tubb attained the rank of Colonel and retired from the military with over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. During his military service, he served in numerous leadership positions and was deployed as an orthopaedic surgeon to Baghdad, Iraq and Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Dr. Tubb has extensive orthopaedic surgery experience with particular expertise in hip and knee joint replacements to include minimally invasive, robotic, complex primary, and revision surgery. He remains an active member of numerous professional societies to include the American Orthopaedic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Through these organizations, he has served on multiple committees and work groups focused on improving musculoskeletal care at the national level. He is well-published with multiple scientific articles and textbook chapters to his credit. Dr. Tubb focuses his professional life toward optimizing patient function and quality of life for those faced with hip and knee conditions or other musculoskeletal injuries.
